FAQ
Do you shoot destination weddings?
Yes! I love to travel, and would be happy to discuss any opportunities.
Will there be a second shooter?
2nd and 3rd shooters are available upon request.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
In a lot of cases, yes. If I have not booked with another customer following my appointment with you, a 1-hour extension should be available at a rate of $125/hour.
What kind of gear do you use?
Sony mirrorless camera systems, and nunchucks.
Do I have to order prints through you?
No. While I do offer print options with reasonable pricing and superb quality, you are free to use any print services you like.
If you purchased a wedding package that includes albums, I provide the printed albums.
To view my printing services, simply click on the shopping cart of the photo(s) you might want ot print. (Greeting and holiday cards coming soon)
What does retouching consist of?
For your final selections, I will make some color adjustments, smooth out skin tones, and enhance overall appearance while trying to maintain a natural look. I'll edit skin blemishes that I don't think would be there 2 weeks from now, runaway hair, flying bugs, (some) fabric wrinkles, and lint.
How do you deliver the photos once they're retouched?
The retouched images will be available for download in two sizes.
Web Size: Very high quality, but compressed just enough to meet most social and email sharing requirements
Full Resolution: Perfect for printing, enlarging, and displaying on massive screens. These files are huge, and will maintain exceptional quality at nearly any size.
What if it rains?
It can't rain forever.
Days (and weeks) leading up to our session I will check the weather, as well as the location, to make sure it is not under construction, under water, or completely missing.
If there are any concerns, we can discuss Plan B, and adjust the date to something sooner, or later, depending on our schedules.
How is a headshot different than a portrait?
Headshots include a variety of light modifiers, studio equipment, and one-on-one coaching tools to create your personal image.
Your portrait session will include some close-ups and general posing instruction, there will be a limited amount of lighting equipment and coaching tools available.
There is a little overlap, and I am happy to provide a bit of consultation to help you choose the right one for you.
What forms of payment do you accept?
You can pay with cash, check, credit card, PayPal, and Venmo.
